Virginia Department of Transportation Route 28 Widening - Phase IIl Prince William County Environmental Document Available for Review This project will widen Route 28 (Nokesville Road) from four to six lanes between the realigned intersection of Linton Hall Road (Route 619) and Pennsylvania Avenue. The project also includes drainage, intersection, bicycle and pedestrian improvements. In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), 23 CFR Part 771, an Environmental Assessment (EA) was finalized and a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) was issued by the Federal Highway Administration on August 22, 2003 Pursuant to 23 CFR 771.129, a NEPA Reevaluation was conducted to determine what effects any changes in the project design, laws and regulations or the affected environment might have on the validity of the approved EA/FONSI. The Reevaluation document is now available for public review at the VDOT Manassas Residency Office, 10228 Residency Road, Manassas, VA 20110 or at VDOT's Northem Virginia District Office, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.
